Factory Friday: December 19th

It's Friday and we're here with some behind the scenes shots from the production floor. We build our boots here in Eugene, Oregon and we're very proud of our process and the end result, and we think you will enjoy some behind the scenes action.

Rough Shot will be coming out in January in both Natural and Chocolate; Natural is the lighter color seen here.

Excess leather is removed.

Welt is attached to this pair of Natural Rough Shot mocs.

Our best selling boot, Java Waxed Flesh, after cork is applied prior to midsoling.

Underneath the cork is a fiberglass shank that gives overall support.

Midsole is aligned and placed.

The welt is pressed flat against the midsole prior to the application of the outsole.

Java starts off with a firm, waxed, textured surface, that roughens up through wear.

The heel is attached both with a very strong adhesive as well as a set of nails.

Final sanding done, and ready for edge bevelling and staining, before final Q/C.

Each boot is reviewed thoroughly prior to boxing and shipping out.

More next Friday. Sign up for weekly updates delivered direct—no spam, just factory floor reality.
