Factory Friday: September 19th

Factory Friday: September 19th

It's Friday and we're here with some behind the scenes shots from the production floor. We build our boots here in Eugene, Oregon and we're very proud of our process and the end result, and we think you will enjoy some behind the scenes action.

Autumn Cypress uppers awaiting hardware. These are uppers that will be lasted on our Formal last.

Charcoal Double Shot is truly nearly black in appearance.

Rustic, loved Java Waxed Flesh waiting for the call.

Black Oiled Rough Out is really thick, highly water-resistant, and resists scuffs and scrapes easily.

Combat Rough Out, tonal tan stitching. What a combo.

More uppers in the bullpen.

Stacked up leather midsoles we cut ourselves.

In black and white, the treated surface of the BORO is more obvious.

Pretty clear here too.

British Tan Grizzly in our work moc, this is one of our favorite leathers for the work mocs, built on our longer lasting heavy lug sole.

Double Shot is a smooth leather, here with a rich brown color.

Java Waxed Flesh Moc Toes after being 360° welted.

One wonders how many strikes this hammer has made.

Cork, beloved by boot wearers.

At this point our regrind Eugene sole is exclusively available through preorders.

Smooth leathers work very well with the formal silhouette, but so too does the BORO, which is being sewn up currently.

Buffing is about the last step in the process before QC.

QC'd and ready to box.

Java Waxed Flesh just before its release this week.

Hopefully this was an enjoyable insight into our process. Check back next week to see more.
